Modern technologies are amazing! It is possible to find a hotel, book a room, and get step by step directions on how to get there from a navigation system. Moreover, all of the above can be achieved while sitting in a car in the middle of a traffic jam. One should be extremely careful, though, while setting the destination for navigation. You know, there are places with similar names (streets, hotels), one small mistake and you end up 200 km away from the intended point in a different country. We still do not know how it happened.
Anyways, around 8pm we found ourselves in Croatia. That did not align with our initial plan, but… “A wizard does not make mistakes. He makes unexpected possibilities” (Merlin from Wizards: Tales Of Arcadia). This possibility was totally unexpected, but if we were in Croatia, why not go to the sea?
First things first, though, and the first thing when the head grows heavy and the sight grows dim is to find where to stop for the night. Luckily, Ksenia is an expert at finding anything anywhere, as long as there is a stable internet connection… at least, some internet connection… please.
A hotel was found. Hotel Lug in the village of Lug. € 60.22 for room and breakfast for three people.
If you ask Denis, he would, probably, say that it was not a good place, because the horse was ill, and he could not have a ride in the morning. We, however, think that the place was gorgeous. After all the uncertainty of the preceding days the place looked stable and secure. Red carpets, dark wood, heavy wooden furniture in the restaurant, a small park with alcoves. Corridors are decorated with stuffed birds and animals.
We would definitely recommend this place, however, keep in mind that the hotel is more rustic than fancy.
